The Interministerial Commission for Export Control and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction with the Minister of Economy (under the Defence-related Products and Dual-Use Items and Technologies Export Control Act):

1. Considers applications for authorisation for export, import, transfer, transit of defence-related products and defence-related products brokerage and authorisation for export, transfer from the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria to the territory of another EU Member State, transit or brokering service with dual-use items and technologies;
2. Performs control functions in the field of export control of defence-related products and dual-use items and technologies;
3. Considers applications for certificates of activities under the Act on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and on Control of Toxic Chemicals and the Precursors thereof;
4. Performs the functions of the National Authority under the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction.
